"Dance with me, beautiful." Loftin held out his hand towards me, his brown eyes sparkling under the disco ball that was spinning above us. 

"Are you talking to me?" I looked around the room, that was filled with people dancing at Prom. He could be talking to someone else, considering I wasn't as beautiful as some other girls in this room.

"Yes, you, Delta Brown. Dance with me." He took my hand and kissed it, and spun me around before we slow danced together.
