Dancing had always been Ryo's thing ─ something he did in his free time, something the gang knew all too well. But when he pulled out a skateboard like it was the most normal thing in the world, everyone was stunned. Especially Sakuya, who had known Ryo since diaper days.
Ryo? On a skateboard? The same Ryo who once said he'd rather wrestle a bear than ride something that rolls and flips like that? He used to be terrified of them. Just the thought of trying tricks made his knees weak.
But then came that one random night. He was just running an errand at the convenience store when he happened to pass by the skate park. He wasn't drawn to the skaters or their wild flips. No─ he was drawn to her.
The skate park was supposed to be a place for skateboarding. But her? She turned it into a stage. Her own dance floor. The way she moved ─ sharp, fluid, fearless ─ it was like watching a performance. She looked so effortlessly cool that something in Ryo's chest stirred, something unfamiliar, something he didn't know what to name yet.
And so, Ryo bought a skateboard.
He told the gang he wanted to try something new. Said dancing on solid ground was getting boring. But the truth? Skateboarding was just an excuse. An excuse to be there, at the same time, every night. To lean on the rails and pretend he was warming up ─ when really, he was just watching her dance. Letting her unknowingly steal his breath, again and again.
"Just talk to her already"
"I will once I learn how to do that flip"
