In Marley, rebellion has a melody. Lillian "Lilly" Leclair - daughter of a decorated Marleyan general, born of both Eldian and Marleyan blood - sings for soldiers, spies for the forgotten, and hides her secrets between the notes of her songs. Each performance is a risk. Each verse, a quiet act of defiance. When the Scouts from Paradis arrive under the guise of diplomacy, her carefully ordered world fractures. Among them stands Captain Levi Ackerman - sharp, silent, and impossible to read. Their alliance is fragile, their trust uncertain, and yet something unspoken lingers in every glance, every breath between words. As war brews and loyalties blur, Lilly must decide how much of herself she's willing to give for the freedom she sings about - and how much she's already lost. Music is her weapon. Silence is her armor. And love, the most dangerous rebellion of all.

"Why are you acting like this?" Levi didn't respond right away. His grip on the reins didn't loosen, and the line of his jaw stayed sharp as stone. The others were far enough ahead now, just distant shadows through the trees. No one could hear them. He took a slow breath. Then, quietly, "Because everyone I care about dies." He didn't look at her. His eyes trained on the terrain ahead. "It doesn't matter what I do. How hard I fight. How many I protect. If I let someone get close, they die. It's like..." He paused, voice tightening. "Like the universe has it out for them the second I give a damn." Elsa remained still against him, heart tight in her chest. "That's my curse," he muttered. "I call it a fatal attraction. Every time I start to care, start to feel something, it's like a damn target gets painted on their back. And I'm the one that handed over the brush." His voice dipped even lower. "I can't let that happen to you." ---------------------------------------------------------- TW: suicidal ideation, sex as a form of self-harm, intense emotional trauma, PTSD, explicit sexual scenes, detailed gore, major character death ---------------------------------------------------------- i wrote this because I wanted to create an alternate story ending for Levi. i needed to see him live happily ever after. that being said, i know romance with this man is a messy asf. so prepare yourselves ;)
