Magic is dead in Redwyne.

At least, that's what the Baron would like everyone to believe. He's planning something, tracking down families descended from powerful magical bloodlines and having his assassins steal them away in the middle of the night.

Lyra Ashcombe was never meant to be nobility. Descended from a powerful magical bloodline and far too brutally honest to ever survive the politics of court, she returns from years of exile only to be thrown into an arranged marriage with the leader of the Baron's mysterious assassins. Bound by a debt she can't put off any longer, and the threat of her brother being sent to the front lines, she must play the part of the dutiful bride.

Vale Corbyn walks a knife's edge of carefully constructed half-truths. Known across Redwyne as "The Scarlet Assassin," he's ruthless, nameless, and unwaveringly loyal to the Baron. Marriage is just another move in the long game he's playing, a sacrifice he's reluctantly willing to make. Gifted with the power of foresight, Vale has been having visions of Lyra for weeks. When the Baron forces his hand on the matter of marriage, her name is the only one that comes to his mind.

But Lyra is naturally suspicious, and Vale has many secrets. As the Baron's web of deception continues to unravel around them, two things become apparent: the first is that Vale's reluctance to tell Lyra the full truth might be the downfall of all their plans. The second is that the Baron's arrangement might also be his greatest mistake - a woman with a spine of steel, who has every reason to kill him, and his most lethal weapon, completely devoted to her.

**DISCLAIMER: This book is a work in progress. It is what I refer to as a "vomit draft." There will be plot holes, minor misspellings, and mispunctuation. But I promise you, the vibes are there. And I would love to hear your thoughts. I aim to polish and publish after the first draft is done.**

Lady Lyra Wynthorne has spent her life in the shadow of her father's power, protected by his influence and sheltered by her status. As the only daughter of a High Lord, she's always had everything she could ever want-except her freedom. When she learns that her father has arranged a marriage for her, Lyra decides to take her fate into her own hands. Running away from the life she's always known, she ventures out into a world far harsher than she imagined, determined to prove she's more than the spoiled, reckless girl everyone thinks she is. Sir Lucian Dorne, her father's most trusted knight, has watched over Lyra since they were children. He knows her better than anyone-or so he thinks. As her childhood friend and protector, he's seen her wild, impulsive nature, and he believes she has much to learn about the realities of life. Never did Lucian expect Lyra to disappear, nor could he have predicted the sorrow and emptiness that would fill the void she left behind. Months later, when Lucian finally tracks Lyra down, he's shocked to find that the damsel he once knew is no longer in distress. Lyra has changed. Hardened. She has found a new strength and independence in the face of hardship, and she no longer needs saving. As Lucian sees her with new eyes, he begins to wonder: how can he protect someone who doesn't need protecting? And when he discovers the true reason she fled, Lucian is forced to confront his deepest fear. What does a knight do when the damsel he's sworn to protect is ready to fight her own battles? And more importantly, what happens when that damsel is the woman he's been in love with all along? In this story of love, loyalty, and self-discovery, Lyra and Lucian must face the truth of who they are-and who they are to each other.

ACOTAR Fanfic featuring Azriel, Lyra (OC), Rhysand, Feyre, Cassian, Nesta, Mor, Amren, Tamlin, Elain, Keir, and Dis (OC) What if Sarah J. Maas didn't just write A Court of Thorns and Roses... what if she lived it? When Sarah J. Maas vanished, everyone assumed she was working on her next novel. Her husband knew better. Desperate, he calls Lyra-ex-military, pragmatic, trained to survive anything-and tells her the truth... Sarah didn't just imagine Prythian. She went there. The portal that fuels her stories opens only for those it chooses, and when Lyra crosses through, she finds herself in a world of Fae courts, shadows, and impossible magic-a world that doesn't follow the rules of fiction. And she's about to realize that fiction and fate have thinner boundaries than anyone believed. Armed with nothing but her instincts and a soldier's will, Lyra must navigate the same deadly beauty that made Maas's books legendary. But the longer she stays, the more Prythian begins to change her-body, mind, and soul. To save Sarah, Lyra will have to survive the story itself. Because this time, the author isn't writing the ending-Lyra is. [COMPLETED STORY] Picks up after ACOWAR ⚠️ Content Warning: This story explores trauma, survival, and healing-both physical and emotional. Lyra's journey includes scenes of violence, captivity, and intimacy (consensual and non). Please read mindfully and take breaks if needed. ❤️ My first fanfic. Literally started as a "what if" and spiraled into a full-blown, emotional, magic-fueled rescue mission through Prythian itself. Expect: 🗡️ Portal fantasy meets meta-fanfic chaos with an OC heroine 💔 Found family, shadows, spice, and trauma-healing arcs 🔥 Azriel being emotionally unavailable (until he isn't) 🌌 Prythian reimagined through a mortal's eyes 🪞Reality, storytelling, and identity colliding [Disclaimer: this is a fanfic based creation. All credit to the ACOTAR series, original characters, etc. go to Sarah J Maas]
