"You know I can't help myself from you darling..."

After a messy break (Y/N) moves to a suburb in north Denver, Colorado to try to get a fresh start, yet didn't pay attention to the growing number of missing children in the area when arriving. Everything is lovely until her whole world gets turned on her head when she too gets taken by the one they call The Grabber. Even though (Y/N) knows she's in danger, she can't help but have complicated feelings for this man as her time in his captivity grows and doesn't know how to stop herself from wanting him.

TW : There will be topics such as smut, parts of BDSM, stalking, Stockholm Syndrome, age gaps, strong language, violence, gore and death. If any of these topics trigger you, please do not proceed.

I do not own the character of The Grabber or the main story of The Black Phone but did create this alternative storyline with (Y/N).

The past is too fresh and too painful to visit when you're a new vampire. Ruby learns the hard line that separates the living from the undead. David's paranoia grows as The Lost Boys are fractured by drama and the threat of attack from a rival vampire gang. Not everyone is going to survive, no matter how much you prepare... -- I began The Carousel Series nearly 20 years ago. "A Song For the Dead" is republished here in its original form, unchanged. That means you get to see all the mistakes; a lack of punctuation, bad grammar and sorely needing an editor. The bones of the story are solid and I'm still immensely proud of what I created with this series. I think some of the strongest imagery I've ever written is in the first few chapters, and although I had some trouble with the later half of the story, "A Song For the Dead" is my favorite sequel in The Carousel Series. "A Song For the Dead" is the third story in "The Carousel Series". You need to read the series in order, else wise you will be sorely confused.
