When Imani Parker steps onto campus for her first semester of college, everything feels too loud - the crowds, the practices, the new faces, the silence where her mother's voice should be. It's been a year since cancer took the woman who was her anchor, and grief still lingers like a bruise beneath her skin. Volleyball is supposed to be her way back - her mother's dream for her - but even that feels heavier now. Then she meets Eli Turner, a quiet junior who works at the university library. He's calm where she's chaotic, still where she's storming. He notices things - the way she presses her lips together when she's anxious, the way she looks for the exits before a big game, the way she carries her pain like it's something precious. What begins as shy conversations across a library desk turns into long walks, late-night study sessions, and a friendship built on silence that somehow says everything. Eli shows up to her games, always sitting in the same spot in the stands, never cheering - just watching, quietly, as if she's the only thing worth paying attention to. Imani starts to fall - not in the dizzy, reckless way she expected, but in a slow, steady way that feels like healing. Yet just when she starts to believe she's found solid ground again, Eli pulls away. His absence feels like a fresh kind of grief. When Imani finally learns the truth, the pieces of her world shift again. The walls between them crumble, replaced by the fragile understanding that love doesn't erase loss; it simply gives it a softer place to rest. Together, they learn that healing isn't about moving on - it's about carrying on. And sometimes, the quietest love is the one that simply sees you.

"I don't know, Gracie. That's the point. I don't know why I'm willing to feel how much you broke my f*cking heart every minute we're together just so I can be with you. It's not logical. But I am. I would sit through a hundred of these horrible drives just to be with you." .................. Once a heart has been broken, can it ever really heal? G + E = Forever But then Gracie Allen had her heart crushed and Ethan Bennett had his shattered. G + E = Forever For Never After one fluke letter being published in a magazine about said heartbreak, coincidentally the heartbreaker himself comes back. But is it a mere coincidence? Could it be fates way of telling Gracie that, maybe, not all heartbreaks are permanent. And maybe love, however wrong it feels to your brain, isn't logical. It's chemical. With words left unsaid, secrets untold, and a popular weekly column of anonymous crap advice written by a hypocrite, can one university student rise to the challenge that Ethan holds, or will she fall away into dust from all that used to be? It might take one hell of a bridge to build, but when love is waiting on the other side, maybe it's worth it to try. .................. Okay, so a few words before you get into this. I DON'T have anything planned out. It's kinda just coming to me as I write. I have no idea what's going to happen. All I know is that I was in a lovey-dovey mood and wanted to write gushyness and awesomeness. So here is my attempt at that. AGAIN THIS IS NOT PLANNED AND SOME SHIT MIGHT HAVE NO REASON BEING IN IT BY THE TIME ITS FINISHED. But I hope you enjoy it! Started March 14th, 2016! Finished March 21st, 2016! (A FREAKING WEEK. WHAT.)
