Hunger was the only thing inside that apartment. Real hunger. The kind that twists your stomach and leaves the pantry echoing and empty. We had nothing. No bread, no rice, no miracle waiting to appear out of nowhere.
I joked that I could just eat the neighbor. Ha. A desperate attempt to lighten the mood. My brothers, however, took it a little too seriously... and I, like an idiot, went along with it.
Now I can only hope our sins aren't discovered too soon.
If you decided to read this story, thank you. I want to clarify that this is a fanfic; some of the characters and parts of the plot are not mine. With that said... enjoy.

I was inspired to write my own Ashley Graves x Male Reader story. I am fearful. I'm not sure how good this will be, because Ashley is a bit of a hard character to write. If anybody has tips or ideas for me, they are very much appreciated. I plan to extend this a good way past the story of the actual game (assuming I can actually commit to it for that long), so I guess we'll see how that goes. Bear with me, I guess. He was the family's Sawney, the hunter of Fos: the one who went into the white plains just beyond the city walls to hunt Fos for food so his family could live. Most days, he would arrive home, place heart after heart on the dinner table and smile at his brother, whose constant twitching and childhood disease meant he could never kill a Fos himself.
