Annabelle was the first and only girl in the glade for 3 years. No one knew why or how, but they vowed to protect her as they did everyone else. They provided her with the security they could and made sure she had the best before anyone else. What happens when the new greenie is sent into the glade to change everything and Newt and the rest of the gladers don't know how to continue to protect her?

Tara is a 15 year old girl when she gets put into the maze trials. She was sent into the maze a year after the trials first started. She doesn't know what she did to end up there, but she is keen on finding out by becoming a runner. She is the only girl in the glade and finds it harder to fit in even if she can put those boys into their places. She is strong and fast, so she believes she is well able to be a runner, but the boys aren't convinced. Especially Newt.
