Keiric had always been a no-nonsense, unsmiling man. He had little interest in mingling with nobles of his kind; his only concerns were his family, the farm, and protecting both from his uncle.

He had always believed his preferences in love were forbidden, and so he never allowed himself to dwell on them, until he was introduced to the Zyren Lirenn.

Now, with the young man constantly hovering around him, Keiric finds himself facing something he never expected: a man who seems completely unfazed by his cold temperament, unfriendly nature, and deliberate indifference.

But how long can Keiric keep his rigid heart guarded when the one person determined to get past his walls refuses to be pushed away?

Zyren and his family leave the West behind for Farrowbend, determined to begin a new life. Leaving everything he has ever known was never something Zyren expected, but family has always come first. With his grandfather growing old and his father taking over the family business, Zyren decides to give the unfamiliar town a chance, and perhaps bring his own skills to life along the way.

Then he meets Keiric.

Despite the man's indifferent nature and overbearing attitude, Zyren finds himself drawn to him. With his kind heart and caring nature, he refuses to be discouraged by Keiric's coldness.

But how long can Zyren continue chasing a man who barely spares him a glance?
