In a fantasy world where many races - elves, beastmen, dragons, fairies, and humans - coexist under fragile peace, the balance is shattered with the Great War. Every 40,000 to 80,000 years, a Demon King is born, plunging the world into chaos. An ancient alliance of kingdoms forms the Grand Church of Light, uniting their strongest warriors and high priests to lead the charge.

Among them stand two of the most gifted - Polaris, the ethereal Elf High Priest, calm, breathtaking, and one of the most powerful, and Kanna, the fierce and determined of Beastman clan, heir to their throne, a warrior priestess known for her unmatched and fiery spirit. Bound by years of friendship and trust, they now march under the cause - each leading their people into a war that may decide the fate of their world.

But as blades clash and the end draws near, the bond between them begins to blur the lines between duty and desire.
When the heart wages its own silent battle, what will win - devotion to the alliance, or the emotions they both try to hide?
And when the final war begins, will friendship be their greatest strength... or their deepest tragedy?

Beneath the roots lies a realm unspoken, where shadows breathe and rivers run black. A single step too far unravels the veil between worlds, turning play into curse, and innocence into exile. Beyond the roots, the air itself conspires, forests whisper of forgotten kings, and demons walk as both beasts and men. Yet above that abyss rises a kingdom of warmth, a fragile jewel cradled in sunlight. Its streets awaken each dawn in a riot of color: banners ripple, stalls spill with fruit and cloth, and fountains laugh with crystal spray. Children dart through blooming gardens, their laughter ringing louder than bells, while elders sit beneath arching roots, telling stories of brighter days. Here, joy is stitched into life itself. The baker greets with sugared bread, the blacksmith's hammer sings with the town musicians, and couples dance when lanterns glow like fallen stars. Festivals turn nights into oceans of song, where drums thunder and torches paint the sky in fire and gold. In this place, hope does not hide-it parades, it feasts, it laughs. The people call their home a sanctuary, untouched by sorrow, where each day begins with promise and ends in peace. To live here is to believe, if only for a moment, that darkness is nothing more than a distant dream. But beneath their feet, the roots stretch into silence. For every blossom hides its shadow, and every feast masks a silence that waits. The kingdom may be a cradle of joy, but its foundation drinks from the same soil where nightmares stir. Here, survival is no gift. Every choice is a bargain, every path a trial. What seems human may wear another face, and what seems monstrous may hold a broken heart. Secrets buried for centuries stir in the soil, twisting destiny tighter with every breath. This is not a tale of crowns or kingdoms, but of a world where light is fragile, where hope withers, and where even the roots that bind the earth tremble before what waits below.

82 parts Complete Mature

Welcome to the twin worlds of Ramnor and Rimnor: lush, beautiful, and magical. They are also the center of the Maker's universe, the cornerstone on which all of Creation is built. If one, or both are destroyed, then Creation itself will begin to unravel. And destruction of those worlds is the goal of the Lords of the Abyss, masters of the shadows that haunt the edges of Reality. To that end, they long ago gathered a vast army of demonspawn and made their war on Reality, defeated at the last possible moment by an alliance of mortal races and by the hand of the Creator themselves. Despite their defeat, the Lords have not given up trying to destroy all of Reality. And now, tens of thousands of years after their initial defeat, they once again threaten to destroy everything that ever was. Except this time even fewer will stand against them. And they themselves don't even know who they are, and what they are fated to do. Can this meager handful discover their destiny before it's too late and all of Reality dies in demon fire? Join heroes from the Humans, the Elves, the centaur-like Quada, the cat-like Muraan, and the fish-like Picea as they learn of their fates and struggle against the vanguard of evil that threatens to wash them away in the first book of the Sons of Ironstorm Chronicles, 'Griffon's Rise'. I hope you enjoy.
