Hiking the Vermont peaks over 4,000 feet is a short but must-do list if you're going for the Northeast 115. For me, it's five mountains, one challenge, a new state, new trails, and new places to explore. From the summits, I can look across Lake Champlain and see what I just accomplished in the Adirondacks. It's that feeling of finishing one chapter and jumping right into the next. It was my first back to New York after six months. I was looking forward to this. To going back to camp. Seeing my friends, and having fun for another summer. And for those of you who haven't figured it out yet, I was abused a child. And this caused some pretty shitty depression at a young age. It didn't help that I didn't have any friends. But I came here, and friends happened and the depression went away. It might pop up, but that was more so grief. I haven't thought about suicide since I was 14. That's a really long time. Well, okay, I did once in Tartarus but that wasn't killing myself, that was just giving up. So it doesn't count, okay?

The Second Giant War was gruesome. With only 3 of the 7 left alive, they demigods of prophecy left the camps. They were unable, or maybe just unwilling, to be in the places where their friends once walked. They chose to escape the world of demigods while they still could. They wanted to try for normal so that maybe, one day, they could forget any of it ever happened. They wanted peace and safety. Nico... well, Nico had other ways of coping. ------------- Nico had had a long life. 16 years old, plus however many had passed in that cured casino had left little joy in his life. He had lost his grandparents, his mother, Bianca, his friends, and then Hazel... he missed her more than he could bare. He only knew his sister for around a year before he had lost her, and not a single day had passed in the last two years that he hadn't thought of her. He couldn't go to either camp or the underworld without feeling like his chest would explode from the pain. He knew she was in a better place. Her and Frank were in Elysium with Jason, Piper, and the rest of the heroes that died in the wars. She was at peace. Maybe she had even managed meet his mother and they were watching him now... though he honestly hoped they weren't. Part Two Frank, Hazel, and Reyna are at CHB to create an exchange program between the camps. But something is going on with the Fifth Cohort Percy, Annabeth, and Leo are going to school together. But Leo senses that something is wrong and is determined to figured out what it is Jason and Piper aren't really in this one This part contains panic attacks, but not flashbacks. Be careful if you are triggered by this!! I do not live in New York, so my geoography is wrong. All street names, places, and train lines are made up.

Hi, my name is Melissa. I've never considered myself a strong person, but I didn't realize that at the time. I always struggled to keep a job, never really understanding why happiness seemed so elusive. I thought I was content, unaware that I was, in fact, struggling.
