"Andrea..." Eli murmured, voice low and urgent. "Look at me."
I obeyed, meeting his gaze.
I thought about the texts again, the words we had sent, the promises and confessions scribbled across a glowing screen. I've missed you so much. Not stupid. Never stupid. They looped in my mind, pulling me closer to him despite my better judgment.
He leaned back slightly, brushing a stray lock of hair behind my ear. "You feel it too, don't you?"
I bit my lip, unsure if I wanted to confess. Was it the memory of missing him, the heat of his touch, or both? "Maybe... yes," I whispered, letting the admission hang in the air.
Eli smiled, a small, almost tender curve that made my chest tighten. "Good," he said softly. "Because I don't plan on letting go tonight. Not until you tell me to."

What happens when an F1 driver is no longer allowed to drive on the road?
Lando wasn't supposed to be stranded, keyless, and babysat by a silent driver with a better poker face than the universe itself.
