Seventeen-year-old Charlotte needs $3,000 fast to replace a door her brother broke, a desperation that lands her a gig babysitting seven-year-old Phoebe. Phoebe's two fathers, the sensitive Kevin and the stoic Jarek, are not hiring for child care; they're hiring a temporary shield. Phoebe, with her white hair, sharp teeth, and unnatural powers, is demonic, and her parents are terrified she'll hurt them. While Kevin fears her and Jarek tries to manage her trouble, Charlotte makes a terrifying discovery: Phoebe loves her. Unlike her distant fathers, Charlotte is kind, and Phoebe's attachment quickly spirals into a dark, obsessive possessiveness. Charlotte just needs to survive a few hundred nights to earn her money, but Phoebe is preparing a game, and in her own terrifying, candy-coloured realm, the play date never ends... 


This is my first time writing a horror story, so don't expect it to be that scary. I'll try my best, though. I also couldn't find a suitable story cover, so I put a forest background.

She gets trapped in a morbid time machine which travels her to 1945, the year on her daughter's death, to try to save her from the events. Some are dark and morbid, even when everyone in your town talks about it. You swore to secrecy that they wouldn't tattle, but you sometimes can't trust them, even if something goes terribly wrong that the truth has to be uncovered....
