Jessica Russo, 22, is tired of being known as "Alessia's little sister." After proving herself at Chelsea, a shocking transfer to FC Barcelona Femení gives her the chance to step out of the shadow and build her own legacy.
But Barcelona is intense.
Training demands perfection, the media never stop watching, and expectations are sky high. And standing at the center of it all is Alexia Putellas captain, icon, and the last person willing to take it easy on a newcomer. Their first meeting is cold, their first training session explosive, and their chemistry immediately borders on dangerous.
They clash. Constantly.
Jessica's fiery stubbornness pushes against Alexia's strict leadership, turning simple drills into battles and silent glances into tension no one can ignore. Her teammates whisper. Reporters speculate. And Jessica is left wondering if she'll ever fit in.
Just as doubts creep in, everything changes with one life-changing moment:
Her first England national team call-up.
It's validation she's fought for her entire life and it catches Alexia's attention in a way no one expected.
Slowly, their dynamic shifts. Arguments soften into banter, lingering glares turn into stolen glances, and the walls Jess thought were unbreakable begin to crack. But letting feelings grow in the spotlight is risky, especially when eyes are watching... and not everyone in the locker room is happy about it.
Jessica must prove she's more than her sister's legacy.
Alexia must face the fear of letting someone new into her guarded world.
Enemies become something else.
Something complicated.
Something powerful.
