It wasn't supposed to be like this. 

What was the God of Lies word worth really? No matter how many times she tells Thanos that he will come for her, in her heart of hearts, she knows he will never come for her. Desolate and believed to be abandoned, she has given up her fight - if only she knew. Realms away, Loki fights for her. With his father fighting him at every turn and his brother called back to Earth, he fears that there will be no life left for him and Sigyn. It has been proven time and time again that he is not worthy of her and that she is far too good for him. More than anyone, he knows what Thanos is capable of and that time is something that is not on their side. Even if he saves her, will she ever be the same?
