Is a novel/poetry/literature written to reflect the internal turmoil of the human mind under abuse of power and a society that is torn between enforcing the law and morality. The law is the pillar of society, enforcing it ensures order and safety. Safety for who? As the law becomes more and more evidently biased, and rulers self-serving, will you keep your silence in order to preserve your 'peace' or will you challenge the increasingly corrupt authority that refuses to listen to its people? MAHARLIKA confronts the underlying issues of society that shamelessly makes itself known in broad daylight and in plain sight yet remains undisputed. Why? Is it the people's ignorance and their lack of concern? Or are those in power wholly to blame?
