Atlas Moore has woken up after a seven-year coma in Houston Methodist Hospital. No memory of who he was, or how he ended up there. Nothing makes sense to him, and the only thing he knows, is the dark imagery of his nightmares which haunt him on a nightly routine. It isn't till he meets one Prudence Ledger, does think he think, maybe remembering isn't as important as he thought. Not when there's a woman who holds just as much pain in those innocent looking eyes of hers.

Prudence doesn't have room for love in her life. For her, taking care of people such as Atlas Moore, is much more important. At first, it's only curiosity that draws her to the amnesiac man who's laid up in the hospital. Beat up, broken, lost, scarred. The longer she helps Atlas strive in recovering who he once, she'll soon learn, it isn't just her heart on the line. But her very life. As the people responsible for Atlas injuries are a little less than happy with him still breathing.
