A Killer's Touch

In the end of sophomore year, Meira Wynters, a freshly 16 year old girl, is caught involuntarily in the middle of a murder--or at least, that's what she thinks she saw. The memory is fragmented, the only clear image she could fathom being a man's face illuminated in the darkness. The face of the killer.

Determined to move on, she convinces herself it was a hallucination. Meira buries the memory deep, naming it a cruel trick by her mind. Months pass, and she thinks nothing of the incident. Life is normal, and junior year is about to start.

That was until Ryker Valentine walks into the classroom on the first day of school.

This charming, intelligent man captivates everyone with a blink of an eye. he was almost too composed. there's no way a guy like that could kill someone...right? Meira's mind returned to that night. The bridge, the blood, the terror. The recollection is all too familiar, and who stood before that body was none other than Ryker. That face of his was too difficult to forget. Of course, it was him.

At first, doubts are set in her mind. He doesn't even care to look her way. If he was the murderer, surely he would have recognized a witness--unless he didn't realize he left one.

Maybe it wasn't him, and just someone similar. A coincidence, one could say. But the more she sees him, the harder it is to deny it. When their lives begin to intertwine, Meira finds herself in a dance of fear and fascination.
