With the weight of several worlds on her shoulders as a prophetess in the making, Zory has no interest in being slowed down by anything or anyone. When the number of targets on her back shifts from growing by the day to rising by the hour, her people quickly prove they're ready to start pulling some of the most ridiculous stunts of all time to protect her.

She isn't the only one being haunted by her past lives as a phoenix and the only man who can truly understand can't seem to get her to level with him for so much as a second. With both her life and her legacy repeatedly on the line, Zory isn't interested in playing by anyone's rules but her own.

With a new war on the horizon and unprecedented powers at her disposal, Zory feels obligated to stick to her guns on being the first line of defense in Zayin. As the bodies pile up around her, will she have it in her to stop a war faster than she may end up starting one?

In a battle royale of seers from higher classes of beings, it doesn't help when the supernatural, paranormal and mythical beings under her jurisdiction as a proxy know so very little about life beyond their own world. The fact that the man who claims she's the love of his every life doesn't know how to take no for an answer isn't helping anything either.
