Ok, Who Got Bitten?
Right now, I'm squatting in a pile of human waste, desperately trying to get a signal on my phone. My friends are watching me reluctantly, their faces stained with blood and what I only hope is dirt. The light from my phone is illuminating their faces, casting light on the looks of horror that I have come to know all too well. My best friend is cradling her left arm, bandaged with a torn piece of cloth in hopes of stopping the blood flow. My sister can barely walk, and I think her hand is broken. She looks on the verge of tears. As we calm down, catching our breaths, I give up looking at my phone. I slowly turn to them, my own face crusted with blood. I look at each of them, one by one. Becoming Her Dark Side
They lied to me. My own family. My so-called friends. All of them hiding the truth, that we're tied to the criminal underworld, a forte where my family, the Storms, are the undisputed kings. Then everything falls apart. My dad gets framed. My cousin ends up dead. And the boy I've had a childhood crush on-Nathaniel-turns out to be the one who could destroy me. At least Luke, the one person I shouldn't want, fights to keep me from breaking... but even he has secrets. But it's gets even worse, because now an organization is rising from the shadows, an organization that opposes everything my family stands for. And in a family of warmongers and sociopaths, I stood out as a glaring weakness. The most normal, the most vulnerable, and the most efficient way to end a dynasty that has ruled for centuries. Because what is a throne without an heir, and a crown without its king. So here I am, stuck in a game of blood and betrayal where the only way to survive is to stop being the fragile girl they thought I was. If I have to burn bridges, spill blood, and embrace the monster inside me, then so be it. Because this time, I'm not running from my darkness. I'm becoming it.

You know how many people forget their keys, where they parked their car, or even certain dates? You used to think, how can someone forget something either so simple or so important? Well welcome to my life. What did I forget? Oh you know, my name, my identity and just this small thing called the apocalypse. Mara doesn't remember anything besides waking up in a car that's been flipped over. When she emerges from the crash, she tries to find anyone who can help her get medical attention. Only the first person she sees isn't even an actual person, it's one of the undead. How are you supposed to survive when you don't remember anything? Who are you supposed to trust? The Gory Details (Gross)
Between 2004 and 2008 I wrote a series of "Tips for Writers" for Nocturnal Ooze magazine vaguely about what would happen in real life if you did the things they do in movies but mostly about the gross out. I've always loved them and so have taken them out of mothballs for a new audience here on wattpad. They're all here except for #13 which seems to have vanished. I've also left them mostly intact except for a few very dated references that have been updated.
