The Shattered One
This is an original work, so if you plan to offer something, don't. She woke up fractured, wrong, and forgotten. The world she once knew is gone, twisted by a cataclysm known only as The Fade. Now, forests breathe, light drips like water, and creatures mimic human voices with uncanny precision. Time bends in impossible ways, and raw emotion manifests into monsters. Nothing is natural. Everything watches. In this new, devouring world, a lake calls to her. The sky whispers her name. Something ancient stirs-something that remembers what she once was, before she was broken and buried. As she journeys through the remnants of a shattered reality, hunted by the very fabric of emotion, she begins to uncover the truth of her origin and the role she was meant to play in a world unmade. I was sure the worst thing to ever happen to me would be being kidnapped, and sure, that was pretty bad. However, what was worse was being kidnapped, held captive for years, and then being auctioned off to the highest bidder. I thought maybe I had caught a little break when I found out that me and five other girls were being sold to royalty, but I should have known something about that wasn't right either. Under the cover of eternal darkness, and deep beneath the ground, was a whole world I never even dreamed existed in my wildest dreams. It was a world that promised to be more than anything I could imagine. The people who bought us told us we would have the luxurious life of a princess, but there were only two catches... 1. We would be competing against each other for the affection of the Prince who would change our whole lives by picking one of us to rule at his side. 2.
