Dear You, Once, when I was younger, the world felt so much smaller. Life wasn't made of questions back then - it was made of feelings. But somewhere along the way, things began to change. The questions grew bigger. The world, which had once seemed so simple, became a puzzle I couldn't solve. I began to forget the little things - the way the atmosphere smells after rain, or the sound of my own heartbeat when I was truly at peace. Have you felt that too? My stories are organized by emotional theme, beginning with one story about emotion in general, and then moving through stories expressing distractedness, frustration, argument, love, fear, grief, sadness, humor, innocence, and self-love. About a year ago, I discovered my love for the short story and decided to build a collection of shorter works. I'm so glad I did; the variety of plots, characters, and settings I got to explore taught me so much, and I am beyond pleased with what I have to share. Warning: I am a weirdo. This will contain some thoughts of mine, some poems, some deep shit, some thoughts I have as I go through the journey of self-exploration, lmao. Some chapters may be seen as too controversial but whatever you know. I mean, reading this is your choice. You don't have to. I mean, I'd like you all to read every chapter but it's not a story book so you may skip some chapters you don't like and read the ones that you do like. P.S. I do not deny that my thoughts are somewhat influenced by my environment and experiences. Also, this is the real me. Some people think I'm quiet and cold-hearted but on the inside I'm actually a big softie with feelings. To be honest, it's kinda my fault since I hate revealing my emotions to other people or even asking for help until I have to. And even then, I start hating myself for being such a weakling. Because they didn't know just how to say what they felt. For every person that is consumed by their own thoughts, the derision from the outside world only making it worse. For every soul that was drowning in remorse and anguish on restless nights. For every soul that says I love you in the dark and in the mirror because no one else does. These are thoughts remembered in the middle of awkward laughter and noticeable stares that are divided by three sections. The first one is leakage. It talks about our suffering, the strange feeling of existing, the weight, and the burden; the quick whisper of "I need help." Leakage is where our anxieties walk through to escape; the foreign place no one knows but our fear. Meanwhile, the mid part is a pocket of acceptance-may it be real or a mock-up one. I called it "disguise." Here are forgiveness, bravery, and a little tinge of hope concealed with vivid narratives of childhood flashbacks and muted confessions. The last and the longest part is about the cracks. Some of it is just a mere fault, yet most of the time, cracks cause tough surfaces to break too. This is where all the souls I loved before lies. The cradle of leakages. The continuous attempts at recognizing and creating my own language again-because they once made me speak a dialect my tongue never had a taste of. This is filled with lapses, hatred, debris, the gloomy age, and the stories of failed first loves that I have overheard. Composed of forgotten cold cases, the broadsides I will tell the first and last time, and the stabs I had to cope with until I bled from the same wounds they pierced and invaded.Complete
