When a storm tears open a rift between worlds, Hannah, an ordinary student, wakes up
in Lytherra, a land of beast-folk.
Every person here is part animal - fur, claws, wings, tails. Beauty is measured by how
wild and strong your traits are.
Hannah has none of it: smooth skin, blunt teeth, small frame. To them, she looks
defective.
Beasts whisper that she's cursed, unworthy of any clan. Some even try to sell her.
So she smears mud on her skin, binds her hair, and pretends to be a half-mole servant
- ugly, dull, invisible.
She decides that being unseen is safer than being owned.
But one night, during a skirmish, her disguise is torn. The men who mocked her catch a
glimpse of what lies beneath - luminous eyes, unscarred skin, fragile but otherworldly
beauty that shouldn't exist in Lytherra.
Word spreads fast. The realm that wanted to throw her away now wants to cage her.
