RWBY: Shadow Monarch of Remnant

Once a boy without a Semblance, Paul was forgotten by destiny-until the day he died.
Saved by an ancient force, he awakened to a world rewritten in shadowlight-a game-like reality only he could perceive. Tasks, levels, and choices carved his path, but his purpose transcended any quest.
He became the Shadow Monarch, a vessel chosen by the God of Darkness to restore balance in a world tilting toward chaos.

The Monarchs and Rulers, thought to be myths, were the gods' first creations-Light's order and Darkness's entropy. Yet among them existed one who bridged both-a being of equilibrium whose soul shattered eons ago.
Paul inherits that soul, reborn as the successor of the Monarch of Balance.

Now, Salem, the self-proclaimed Monarch of Negativity, seeks to claim him as her heir-to drag all of Remnant into eternal despair.
But Paul forges his own destiny-standing between Huntsmen and monsters, between hope and oblivion.
