Everyone deserves to find their own happiness, right?. Mates are aligned together as souls and wolf spirits who compliment each other. But free will doesn't always work well with the Goddess' plans. Sometimes our "better halves" really aren't the best thing for us. When that happens, all we can do is move forward and hope for a second chance at happiness. ***************************************************** I was backed up until I bumped right into the muscular and very bare chest behind me. "Tell me little one, is this something you want?" Is this real. No, things like this don't happen to me. I'm more likely to fall into a sink hole than have anything good really happen. I mean, good things have happened I guess, but not this good. "Tell him. Don't be shy now." Shy isn't the right word. I think I might be loosing my mind. This can't be real... can it? "What happens if I say yes?" ***************************************************** **TW-Possible Spoilers** Disclaimer/Warning This is a work of fiction. "You'll catch a cold, why didn't you take your jacket?" A voice asked. I spun around, and my eyes locked with Marcus's eyes. "Hey," I said, my voice a little trembling from the cold, and I wrapped my arms across my chest, my shoulders stiffening. I had not expected that it would be so cold. My fingers dug into my sleeves, and I shifted my weight from one foot to the other, trying not to shiver too obviously. Marcus didn't answer right away. He just looked at me for a second, then stepped forward. Silently, he slid off his jacket and placed it over my shoulders, and I ensnared it tighter around me immediately. It was still warm from his body. The inside smelled... citrusy?
