"Do no harm"
After the world ended and the undead rose, Nurse Arlo Winstead learned that surviving and living aren't the same thing. Inside the military base, everything runs on routine, lights never go out, commands never change, and rules cover more than they protect. She still save lives, but her heart's long stopped believing in what's left of humanity.
Wyatt Graves, a soldier assigned the medical bay, is the only reminder of what normal once felt like. He makes her laugh when she shouldn't and reminds her why she ever cared in the first place. But when a newcomer named Carter Seyford arrives, Arlo is forced to re-evaluate if simply surviving is worth it. Carter lived beyond the fences of the base, meeting other survivors, seeing the broken world for himself.
Now she has to choose: stay behind the walls and keep helping those she can, or take her chances outside and find out if there's still a world worth saving.
