Xyrish Vitale became an assassin because she needs to find her missing brothers, they suddenly vanished one day, and no one can tell her where they went. But those who know him well say he's only warm and caring when he's with his five younger brothers. The woman who was supposed to do this mission before her, died in a mysterious way, so now it's up to Xyrish.

As she starts looking into the case more, she hears rumors that the Meldievan leader might be connected to what happened to her own brothers. This makes her even more determined to get the job done. She goes undercover as his secretary to get close to him, and even tries to mix poison into his food more than once. But the more time she spends working by his side, the more she sees that he's not as bad as people say. Little by little, she starts to fall in love with the man she's supposed to kill.
