My Obsessive Captain
A spaceship captain tears down the walls of a hospital/private sector research facility to extract a valuable asset to anyone in the galactic space travel sector. The mother of space travel herself, she invented the first space travel engine that brought about the "modern" age. The facility that held her only planned on using her, and the captain that saved her had been waiting his whole life to meet her. Why was he so obsessed with her? Did he have to be so sweet? So ferociously protective? What did he want with her if he wasn't after her mind? And why did she feel like she needed to take care of him?
No Man Left Behind
An intelligent entity by the name of Unilife captures the attention of an ancient alien race, who must decide whether or not to make first contact with the human race in order to stop this fast-learning, genocidal entity . . . And after encountering the entity themselves, Humanity must decide between fighting Unilife to the bitter end, or fleeing the Milky Way Galaxy altogether. This short story is a precursor to other writings to come. Essentially, I'm using my experience from writing this as a springboard for future planned projects. Sidenote: this project was originally drafted in Google Docs. For some reason, when copying over to Wattpad, Wattpad converts all the em dashes to regular hyphens. Be on the lookout for that, as it completely slaughters the meaning of certain sentences and phrases which use em dashes. Cassia LaCroix is a wormhole hunter, earning a living scouring the galaxy for valuable tunnels through space-time. Prince Zoojin, a psychic alien from a distant galaxy, must prove himself worthy of the throne of Paxis Prime. The paths of these characters converge as they pursue their own motives, leading them towards the mechanical legion that is sweeping across the galaxy.
