Before The Bell Rings

This story is about 2 Academic Rivals who fight over being the topper in the class.

They meet in 6th grade, where Kirby Nunn, transfers to Karan Sharma's school. She gets 100% on the BOY (Beginning of Year) test, while Karan, gets a 95. After that, they both start arguing and pressuring themselves into studying to become the topper. By 7th grade, even the new kids know them as the "academic rivals" and never get in their way. Karan, who bullies, always bullies the dumb ones, while Kirby, she's an introvert, who doesn't talk to anyone except for her friend, Myra. They are always known as enemies, until 11th grade.

After 10th grade, they stop fighting, talking, or even looking at each other. In 11th grade, they don't have any classes together, which they were happy about, and so was everyone else. But Kirby, always got in trouble with the boys. They would bully her, steal her money, or even rip her homework, which resulted in lower grades. When Karan finds this out, he goes insane. One day, he sees her getting bullied and stops the bullies. It was weird. A student had recorded everything and ever since that day, everyone calls their relationship "Enemies with Benefits."

Ever since that cannon event, it's stuck in Kirby's head, and Karan's too. They start being nice to each other, which results others gossiping and starting rumors. Some even say they have fallen in love, but is it true?
