Ten years ago,
The monster found a hidden gem.
And since then, it couldn't be any better.

Nayansh Grover, thirty-two, The king of the world where death means a payback. Never once he had flinched even slightly by the word 'killing'. and that's what made him The Golden king.

one night.
another man to kill.
but one kid...

The fifteen year old kid looked up at Nayansh, eyes full of confusion rather than fear. His father's body laid infront of him, his eyes held tears.

Nayansh crouched down to the kid, "the words, it has two side. Dark and Bright. your father messed with the dark side. and see...the darkness swallowed him. Take care, kiddo." he stood up to leave when the kid pulled at his suit.

"then...why has it not swallowed you?" the kid asked. Nayansh chuckled, bowing down a bit and whispered, "Because I'm the king. you have to be strong to bend the darkness on your wish to not get swallow by it, kid."

The kid blinked, tilting his head, "I wanna be like you too..." he muttered, incoherently. Nayansh smirked, and pointed at another man nearby who was beaten up, not dead yet and spoke, "Then...you have to kill without mercy."

with that, Nayansh turned away, Only to be froze by a loud gunshot voice. His eyes widened and he turned around. The kid has actually shot. A small smile spread on his face and he walked back to the kid, "What's your name, little devil?"

The kid blinked, lowering the gun and looked up at Nayansh. "Kushagra... kushagra kapoor."
Nayansh ruffled his hairs and held out his hand for the kid. "Wanna come to a new home?"
Kushagra nodded, taking the hand.

And that's how, the chapter begun.

He was waiting outside the OP, there for his student who had been injured during a fight over a phone. As he sat, casually glancing at his own phone, he suddenly heard the faint sound of a baby crying. Curious, he turned toward the sound-and froze. There, outside the pediatric care unit, sat his wife with their son crying in her arms. His heart ached-it had been months since he last saw his son. His gaze shifted to his wife, gently consoling the child. Her face looked tired, pale, and completely drained. Without a second thought, he stood, tears welling in his eyes. Each step he took felt heavy, his chest tightening with every cry from his son. As he neared, he saw her clothes were faded and worn. Her feet were bare, hardened from walking-clearly straight from the farm. His heart clenched. His eyes moved to his son-he had grown so much. She was so focused on calming the baby that she didn't notice him at first. Tears filled her eyes as she held their feverish child close. He softly called her name. Startled, she looked up-and froze. Then she quickly lowered her gaze and tried to get up. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder, stopping her. She sat back down, turning her face away, quietly wiping her tears. He reached out to take their son. The moment he held him, he felt the heat-his little body was burning with fever. A chill ran through him. After all these months, seeing his child like this was unbearable. He loved his wife and son deeply, but his loyalty to his mother-and obedience to her word-always came first. Between a mother who owned his soul and a wife who held his heart, he was a man torn in a cruel war of love and loyalty. And she-she had given her all to a promise whispered beneath the sacred fire... never knowing that one day, she'd be holding her child, with nothing but a faded vow.

PAUL I cheated on my fiancée. Sophie and I were building our future. In love, happy, peaceful. Then she found a lump in her breast and I made the worst choice: I numbed my fear by sleeping with someone else. My worst mistake and my biggest regret. Now I see Sophie around town with him. She's radiant and laughing with people who actually show up. I'm trying to learn how to be a man who does. If she lets me, I'll spend the rest of my life proving I can choose her when it's hardest. If she lets me... SOPHIE I thought the promise was in sickness and in health. But he buried his fear in someone else. On the same night, I walked into a bookstore and meet the gentle giant owner who invites me to his book club full of misfits. I'm laughing again, I smile more than I ever have, I heal my heart. My ex says he can learn to stay, but my bookstore owner keeps showing up like it's as easy as breathing. I don't know what the future holds; I don't know if I'll win this battle against cancer, but I do know I'm done wasting time on people that love only when it's easy. CALLUM She came in to Rivers & Rhodes Bookstore and asked for books with happy endings only. I gave her a recommendation, an invitation, and an offer of friendship. Now, this beautiful brave woman is completely under my skin. I'm not here to win a competition against him. I'm here because choosing someone, second by second, is the only way I understand love.
