The Watchers had set up the third game. This time, they decided to put a spell on the players so that they would fall madly in love with each other; a burning, passionate love that could not be snuffed out. However, due to a miscalculation, two of the players did not feel the effects right away. These players failed to woo their soulmates and thus never got together with them.
Six months after the games, those all-consuming feelings are still very much alive within both Martyn and Pearl. They suffocate them, and yet no matter what they do, they cannot forget their feelings. When they are forced to spend time with their soulmates due to a glitch, will they be given a second chance, or will history repeat itself? Will this be their chance to make amends and get together with their love, or will they be pushed to the side and watch the ones they love stick together?
