When the Jedi Temple burns, so does everything Padmé Amidala Skywalker holds dear. As the Republic falls and the Empire rises, Padmé is told the unthinkable-her husband, Anakin Skywalker, and their young twins have perished in the attack. Grief-stricken and carrying their unborn child, she retreats to Naboo, vanishing from the galaxy's eyes as she mourns the life and love she's lost. But across the stars, Anakin and their children have survived. After Order 66 the Jedi Knight and his four-year-old twins, Luke and Leia, are forced into exile on a desolate Outer Rim world. There, Anakin must face the ruins of his faith, the ghosts of the fallen, and the desperate hope that Padmé and the child she carries might still be alive. Separated by war, hunted by darkness, and bound by a love stronger than destiny itself, Anakin and Padmé will defy the Empire's shadow to find one another again. Will love reunite what the Empire has torn apart or will fate keep the Skywalkers forever divided?
