Every town has its shortcuts.
In this one, it's the alley.

Parents, siblings, and friends take the path holding a child's hand - but only the hand comes out. The rest... vanishes. No one knows where, or why. The police have stopped investigating. The town has learned to stay away.

But sixteen-year-old Alice can't. Not after her best friend Emily disappears. With fear tightening around her like fog, Alice steps into the alley to find out what's really hiding in the dark.
