Edward Smith never asked for adventure. He worked, paid rent, and tried to keep his girlfriend happy - even if she hated how much time he spent grinding through Zenless Zone Zero, the one place he felt alive. But one night, a storm changes everything. A simple trip to the beach ends in chaos, and when Edward wakes... it's not in his own world. It's in the hollow shattered desert scape of the OuterRing. A place that should only exist on his phone screen. The faces he once saw as characters now breathe, laugh, and bleed. The game's Hollows are no longer colorful arenas but endless, shifting mazes of danger. And when he catches sight of his reflection - fox ears, a tail, strange glowing eyes - he realizes he's become something else: a Thiren. Now, Edward must navigate this distorted reality, caught between what he knows and what feels real. Can he find a way home? Or will he choose to stay in the world he once dreamed of - even if it means losing everything he was?
