He watches a window, waiting until the house grows dark for everyone to be asleep, before stepping out from behind his fortress of trees. He stands there only for a split second before returning into the solitude and safety of his hiding place. He does this every night and has done this every night for quite some time. He watches and waits for the moment to strike and deep-down hopes that it will never come. Meanwhile inside the house is a family that knows nothing of the stranger standing only a matter of feet on the other side of their walls. For them, time slips away while their eyes are closed tightly, and their dreams come swiftly into their heads, but for the man in the shadows the night goes by slowly as he waits. He was trained not to move, and when he did move not to make a sound, so he could slip through any structure without them being aware of his existence. He knows the house very well and has been in it at least once a day, even when the family was awake. The grounds around the house are his only weaknesses he cannot be at more than one place at a time, so he must walk the perimeter at all times watching and waiting.....
