Set after the opening events of The Shadow Kingdom, this intimate bridge volume follows Crown Prince Aryavarnan during his years in Lanka, long before his storm of return to Indrathara.

The tale unfolds under the golden sun and monsoon rains of the southern isle - where the ocean hums with secrets, and destiny sprouts from the soil of the ordinary.

Amidst diplomatic missions and quiet exile, Aryavarnan finds himself drawn to the palace gardens - the one place where politics cannot follow him. It is there he meets Nandini, the gentle gardener with hands calloused by earth yet eyes as unyielding as fire. Over two years and ten months, Aryavarnan defies every restraint laid upon a royal heir. He hides his growing affection under the guise of duty, fights court whispers, and resists orders from Indrathara demanding his return.
