One of a Kind G/T
In a world where humans are considered nothing more than commodities-bought, sold, and studied like exotic livestock-Vareshian university student Lorian Thorne receives a young 6 inch human as part of a groundbreaking class experiment. Unlike the older, scarred, and vacant humans distributed to his peers, Lorian's human is barely more than a child, wide-eyed and trembling in the corner of his cage. Lorian has always understood humans the way his parents taught him: resources, tools, valuable for their rarity but not worth empathy or consideration. Yet as he observes his human's fragile existence and begins to interact with him, Lorian starts questioning everything he's been told. The boy's small, defiant attempts at connection force Lorian to confront not only the morality of his own actions, but the brutal reality of the society he lives in. As the class progresses, Lorian must navigate the expectations of his Vareshian peers, his parents' ingrained beliefs, and his growing sense of responsibility toward the life in his care. What starts as a sterile academic exercise becomes a journey of unexpected connection, forcing Lorian to face the uncomfortable truths about his world, his family, and ultimately, himself.
Small People
Title: Small People Description: Kayne Ray has spent his life being overshadowed-by his towering Vareshian lineage, by his powerful older brother, and most of all, by the cruel legacy of his father, a man feared for his hatred of humans. Unlike his family, Kayne wants nothing to do with the supremacy that shaped his childhood, but breaking free from his past has left him isolated, awkward, and adrift in a city built for giants like him. Everything changes the day he accidentally injures a human woman in a dark alley. Small enough to fit in the palm of his hand, Val is delicate, wary, and utterly alone. Wracked with guilt, Kayne takes her into his apartment to recover, intending to send her on her way. But days pass, and neither of them seem eager for her to leave. As Kayne struggles with the suffocating weight of his father's estate, a brother who demands more than he can give, and a world that will never fully accept his rejection of Vareshian dominance, Val becomes an unlikely anchor in his chaotic life. But the longer she stays, the more tangled his emotions become. His protectiveness warps into something deeper, something dangerous-a hunger he knows he has no right to indulge. Torn between his desires and his duty, Kayne must walk a thin line between the man he wants to be and the instincts clawing at his restraint. Because Val trusts him. And breaking that trust might shatter more than just the fragile sanctuary they've built-it might ruin them both. A slow-burn fantasy romance about power, restraint, and the forbidden pull of two beings from vastly different worlds, is a story of longing, control, and the delicate balance between fear and desire.
