Adam's life is falling apart. After breaking up with his long-term girlfriend, he's left with an empty house, a dead-end job, and the fading hope of ever becoming a police officer - the dream he's chased since he was a kid. Then he meets you - a stranger who's just moved to London chasing a job that didn't work out. You're broke, lonely, and thinking about giving up, but somehow the two of you click. What starts as casual friendship turns into something deeper, something Adam's never felt before. For the first time in months, he's smiling again, getting out of bed, running, training. With your encouragement, he applies for the police once more - and this time, he passes. Life starts to look up. You move in together to save money, and for a while, everything is perfect. Adam's thriving in his new job, and you finally feel at home in the city. But one night, a routine call turns violent. Adam is attacked while on duty and left in a coma. The world stops. You spend weeks at his bedside You spend weeks at his bedside, reading to him, begging him to wake up. When he finally does, the relief is overwhelming - until the reality sets in. Adam's body is weak. He struggles to walk, to talk, to recognise the man he used to be. The career he fought so hard for might be over before it really began. You refuse to leave. You cook for him, help him with rehab, make him laugh when he can barely stand to look at himself. The journey back is painful and slow, but together you rebuild - step by shaky step. Adam learns that being strong isn't about passing tests or wearing a badge; it's about letting someone love you even when you can't love yourself By the end, he might not return to the force - but he finds a new way to help others, mentoring recruits and teaching resilience. And as for the two of you... after everything you've both survived, you finally realise this isn't a story about falling apart. It's a story about finding home in each other.
