A war is now imminent when Moeris, a ruler of one of the 5 kingdoms, proclaimed himself the king of all Mideon. Now he sits atop his black throne waiting patiently for the time when he would wreck havoc upon the world and start a new era.

When Eleanor gets caught up in the midst of all this, thrust into a life of fleeing, she finds herself bound to the spirit of the Lumiere; a soul of an immortal warrior who was cursed to spending an eternity in the body of Eleanor. Together, they start the journey across Mideon, encountering dark foes and unexpected allies.

But little did they know that Eleanor has a big part to play in the war. She has a strange gift. A powerful gift that, when used, could make the world better or worse than it was. The fate of Mideon rests on her seventeen year old shoulders. However, Eleanor has a problem. Waking up to find that an unknown enemy has captured her, she finds a big part of her missing.
