The world ended before Evelyn Davidson ever got the chance to grow up, she was just six years old. One day she had a father, who took all his anger out on her, and an older brother who kept her safe - the next, she had a knife, a backpack, and a heart full of fear.
After the world fell -and the disappearance of her brother-, Evelyn and her father, Nolan, found a group that had settled a few miles from Atlanta, near a quarry. Nolan spent a lot of his time around the Dixon brothers, Daryl and Merle, who Evelyn assumed were no different than her dad. Although she couldn't help but notice one of the brothers occasionally glancing at her, as if to check on her.
Daryl Dixon.
He kept to himself, all rough edges and quiet stares, like he didn't care if anyone lived or died - as long as they stayed out of his way. But when Evelyn started tagging along, and he started to notice the similarities between her and himself, Daryl found himself doing something he hadn't done in a long time: caring.
Now, as the world rots around them, Evelyn learns that survival isn't just about staying alive - it's about finding the people who make you want to.
Because sometimes, even in the apocalypse, you find your Haven.
