The sea waits, a darkened breath,
Horizon stretched, the edge of death.
From shadowed depths, a wave coils high,
A clawing hand beneath the sky.
It strikes the cliff with thunderous sound,
Stone shudders, chunks of earth unbound.
White foam lashes, salt tears the stone,
Layers of time pulled from the bone.
The wave recedes, yet gathers might,
A breathing shadow in the night.
It surges forth, again, again,
Until the cliff can hold no pain.
The sea bows to nothing, fears no end,
It rises eternal, it will not bend.
It rises eternal, it will not bend...
