Alina's parents left her bruised, broken, and hiding behind a carefully crafted mask. Starting at a new school should be her fresh start, but nothing comes easy-until Theo. With patience, understanding, and quiet persistence, he helps her confront the past she's been running from and slowly learn what it means to heal.

❝ 𝐢𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐧 ─ 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐲 ❞ He had her pinned without a single touch, caging her between his body and the cold metal of the lockers. "You really think you scare me?" she murmured, low and razor-edged, each word a deliberate dare. Theo didn't answer right away. His gaze locked on hers, slow and deliberate, raking over her face like he was memorising the shape of her defiance. That look promised pain... and something darker, something Elora hated herself for recognising. The air between them was thick enough to choke on, laced with danger and an electric pull she refused to acknowledge. When he finally spoke, his voice was a quiet snarl, velvet and venom. "I'm just so fucking tired of you and that smart little mouth." Elora didn't blink. Didn't give him the satisfaction. Instead, her lips curled into a slow, mocking smirk, the kind that always got her into trouble. "Yeah? Keep talking and I'll break your fingers." Theo moved in before she could breathe, erasing the final inch of space like it had never existed. His long fingers grazed her jaw, slow enough to make it feel like a warning. Veins flexed under his skin as his grip closed, firm but not cruel, angling her face up until there was nowhere to look but at him. His shadow bled over hers, his chest brushing hers, the faint scent of him threading through her breath. Then came the drag of heat - his breath, steady and unhurried - grazing her cheek like he had all the time in the world to ruin her. His mouth curved into a smile that didn't reach his eyes, all sharp blades and quiet cruelty. "Promise?"

Scarlett Sovanna doesn't have time for nonsense-especially not the kind that wears a backwards cap and throws parties on Tuesday nights. As a dedicated ballerina at a top-tier arts college, her world revolves around perfect pirouettes, brutal rehearsals, and keeping her spot in the program. There's no room for distractions. Especially not him. Elliot Sinclair is college royalty-the star quarterback with a devil-may-care attitude and a line of admirers trailing behind him. He lives for the game, the thrill, and the spotlight. He and Scarlett couldn't be more different... except for one inconvenient truth: their families are practically intertwined. When Scarlett's dorm situation turns into a nightmare, the Sinclairs offer Elliot's guest room to her. Sharing a space with the person she finds most insufferable on campus? Not ideal. But as the walls come down, so do their assumptions about each other. What starts as chilly silence turns into heated banter. And somewhere between late-night talks and stolen glances, feelings develop. She's all discipline. He's all chaos. Together? They just might fall into something real.
