The Flesh That Cares

Desire is strange. At least, to something that was born with ones that were so simple. The worms were born with the desire to consume and grow. Nothing more, nothing less.
But then, when they consumed, they felt something new. They remembered it, they remembered feeling their mother holding them. Their mother making food for them, playing with them, protecting her.
She remembered looking across the road, to places where people fought, to hurt or protect the ones who weren't like them... Villains, that's what they were. The people who didn't help people who were weaker than them...
She didn't get it... Emi never did.... But that wasn't it's name. Emi was the girl that tapped on the glass when it got there. Emi was the girl that was shorter than the others...
It wanted to make up for it. For taking that girl's life away...

She was going to make sure the world saw Emi as a hero.
