Before she studied at Cambridge, she used to play football. She and her twin Charlie were supposed to start playing professionally after their 18 birthday but life had other plans for them. So she decided to make a career of her second passion - art. This brought a new kind of hard ships to her life but she pushed through and is now a successful art director and manager of her own gallery.

Then she meets Pete Dunham.

It happens on an ordinary school pick-up day-Evelyn collecting Thomas's - her older brother- kids, Pete teaching history and football. Something clicks. Not romance, not yet. Just curiosity. Respect. Quiet admiration. The kind that settles deep before anyone notices it growing.

Pete brings her to the GSE-the rowdy, loyal, razor-sharp West Ham firm that's more family than friends. Evelyn doesn't flinch. She stands her ground. She learns their names. She drinks with them. She laughs with them.

She belongs, even though no one expected she would.

Over months, the bonds deepen. The boys become her second family and she feels at home in the world of football once again but not without the occasional fight or drama concerning her public standing in the world of art.
