Someone keeps leaving black flowers outside Eva's door. Someone walks her home without ever touching the ground. Someone whispers her name through locked windows like a sin she's forgotten. At first, she thinks it's paranoia. Until the night the shadow steps into the light- tall, bandaged, rain dripping from his jaw, eyes burning like he already owns her bones. He corners her gently, as if he's done it a hundred times in nightmares she can't recall. "Little ghost," he murmurs, brushing a petal from her hair, "you really thought you could lose me twice... didn't you?" Eva should scream. She should run. She should push him away like every warning in her blood tells her to. But she doesn't. Because monsters don't scare her half as much as the way her pulse reaches for him- as if it remembers him better than she does. They were never supposed to meet again, but fate had other plans. They were never strangers. They just became people who knew everything about each other, Except how to fix what they broke. She loved him like it was the only thing keeping her from falling apart. He left like he couldn't feel it. Years passed. Cities changed. Names got softer on unfamiliar lips. But silence never erased the way they ended. And when fate threw them back into the same room, One bleeding, Other one breaking, The past didn't knock. It kicked the door down. This is not a story of falling in love. It's what happens after.
