Annabeth died just after escaping Tartarus leaving Percy to fight through his trauma alone. He decides to blame the gods and calls for revenge, but after spending so much time with Annabeth her way of being calculated instead of rash rubbed off on Percy. He prepares his plan after grieving and uncovers secrets that have been hidden for far too long.
