Gojo flinched as if his words struck him. "You're not-"

"Don't," Nanami snapped, voice breaking through his usual restraint. "Don't tell me what I am or am not to you when you can't even decide for yourself."

Gojo's voice was barely above a whisper. "You think I haven't tried to let him go?"

Nanami looked at him - really looked- and Gojo hated the pity there.

"I know you have. That's what makes it worse. You keep fighting ghosts and wondering why the living keep getting hurt."

A mission gone wrong leaves Gojo stripped of his Infinity. Vulnerable for the first time, he must confront the cracks in the image he's always upheld, inner demons, and connections he's always kept at arm's length.
