"You're new here," the barista said, already watching him.
Est looked up. "How did you know?"
The barista smiled, easy and confident. "Because I'd remember your face if you weren't."

"I'm William," the barista added, extending a hand. "Let me make you a drink. I've got just the thing."
Est raised an eyebrow. "Do I get to know what it is?"
