When she rejects him, he settles for the girl who falls into the palm of his hand during a moment of his own weakness. Ten months later, a newborn baby is brought to Rafe after the mother abandoned the child and her parents wanted nothing to do with raising a baby. For two years Rafe has lived privately, not wanting anyone to know that he's been raising a child that he didn't even know he fathered until the moment that baby showed up in front of him. With the help of his stepmother, Rose, he searches for a nanny. Meanwhile, Alana Routledge is looking for a good paying job to help her pay for her college courses. When she meets with her late mother's friend, Rose, she's hired for a nanny job. Only to discover she's nannying for Rafe Cameron's secret child.
