Carved Scales

This story is a dark, intense exploration of toxic love and desperate survival, spanning a decade of emotional devastation. It revolves around the shattered bond between Scales (Alessio Choi), a highly capable but deeply traumatized merman, and Jeon Kiho, the wealthy, self-loathing omega who broke him.

As teenagers, Kiho's repressed desire for Scales curdled into a vicious, possessive obsession. He systematically used his family's criminal power to control, abuse, and ultimately set Scales up for brutal physical punishment by the clan. This past trauma defines their present: Scales now operates in the criminal underworld as the hardened Choi Kyung, battling drug dependency and relentlessly protecting his newly built family-his pregnant, loving mate, Jihoon, and their fiercely loyal foster daughter, Alexis.
